The First of the Gaming Gods Have Come to Switch! (Japan)

A week or so ago, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Double Cross is coming to Nintendo Switch, and this news couldn’t be more huge or important to the success of the Switch in Japan. Monster Hunter is a huge series in Japan and is definitely a system seller. But there are still two more games that Nintendo needs to get on the Switch in order to dominate in Japan: Yo-Kai Watch and Pokemon. Although Yo-Kai Watch is somewhat dying, it is still a big series in Japan. Heck, Yo Kai Watch 2 managed to sell over 3 million copies in Japan alone. Pokemon, on the other hand, is the most exciting game to have on any console in Japan. As you probably know, Pokemon is now bigger than it’s ever been. With Pokemon GO and Sun and Moon breaking all kinds of records, I think that it is safe to assume that Pokemon on the Switch would be huge for Nintendo. If Nintendo just managed to get one game from each of these franchises by the end of 2018, it would be over. Nintendo would have an unrivaled dominance in Japan.

Do you support my theory on how the Nintendo Switch can dominate in Japan? Tell me in the comments below. I’m very curious.
